News From the Mountains 08/09
G’day once again to all the friends of BOAC out there.
Hope you’re all keeping well and that winter has been kind to you. Well, the season’s in full swing again.
Last summer/autumn was all time with high river levels finding us rafting more often than not! There were some epic river trips as some of you will know. Since July however Mother Nature has been a little less kind with low rainfall reflected in lower water levels. Not to worry though as this is a perfect time for that first river trip, a nice reasonably mild introductory experience. There have been plenty of families and first timers taking advantage of this. The smiles at the end of the day tell the story, with many vowing to return and take it to the next level. Just on that subject, we now have a high water mailing list, so if your keen for a bit more adventure, drop us your details and we will be in touch when the trips are on. Keep doing that rain dance!!
It’s not all water dependent though. If two wheels are more your thing, we have fully catered MTB tours on modern well equipped MTBs from KONA. With a range of trails and enthusiastic professional guides offering instruction, we’ll have you ripping it up in no time. So what are you waiting for, get out amongst it and enjoy the beautiful surrounds Gloucester and the Barrington’s have to offer.
The retail side of the business has absolutely blown up with Bliss-Stick kayaks in particular walking out the door. Demand for the Mystic creeker is higher than ever. So if you’re in the market for a new kayak, canoe, MTB or virtually any other piece of outdoor equipment, we can help.
